Wellness Disclaimer

We want you to enjoy every session with clear expectations. This disclaimer explains what massage therapy is — and what it is not.

Massage is wellness care, not medical care

Vitality Massage Therapy provides massage and bodywork for relaxation and general wellness. Our services are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment, and our therapists do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or provide physical therapy or chiropractic care. Our therapists are certified by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC #97565) and work strictly within that scope of practice.

Talk to your physician first

If any of the following apply to you, please consult your physician before booking, and tell us so we can adapt the session safely:

Sharing accurate health information in your booking notes lets our therapists adjust pressure, positioning, and technique — or let you know if a session isn't appropriate right now. We may decline or stop a session if continuing would be unsafe; see our Terms of Service.

Blog and site content

Articles and guides on this site are for educational purposes only. They are general information about massage, wellness, and self-care — not medical advice, and not a recommendation for your specific situation. Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read here.

No guaranteed outcomes

Everyone's body responds differently to bodywork. While clients commonly report reduced tension, better sleep, and improved wellbeing, we make no guarantees about the results of any session. If something ever feels wrong during a session — too much pressure, discomfort, lightheadedness — tell your therapist immediately and we will adjust or stop.
